Blindage Restaurant, Mamayev Kurgan, Volgograd

The restaurant is situated on Mamaev Kurgan in Volgograd.

Opening hours: every day from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The interior design uses items to recreate the atmosphere of The Battle of Stalingrad and the Soviet era.

 

Second courses are served in aluminium bowls, beverages in table-glasses. Only dishes for first courses do not follow, for some reason, the same style: soup has been served in a plastic plate. Maps of the Battle of Stalingrad are lying on the tables under glasses.

 

There is a summer terrace in front of the restaurant.

 

A fountain

 

A frog lives in the fountain. In summer it sits on the edge of the fountain and sings songs for those who have meals on the terrace. For that they feed the frog with dry food.

 

A toilet is free for restaurant visitors, the others must pay 80 rubles. In order to get into the toilet you should ask a waiter to bring keys.
